Gone To See Willie

Craig is in Waterloo tonight, with his long-time friend, Mike, at a Willie Nelson concert. They had front-row seats! I'm sure they are having a great time. I am trying to catch up on paying bills, replying to emails, ordering some Christmas presents, etc. I am craving junk food, so I'm staying clear of the kitchen. It must be the weather. :)

First Play In The Snow

Sunday night, Craig took Jack out in the snow. He had so much fun! He kept saying, "More, more!" He has outgrown his little sled from last winter. We'll have to do something about that soon with all the new snow we got today!

Weekend

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. Yesterday and today I have been working on decorating our home for Christmas. It's always a lot of work, but I LOVE it when it's done. My goal is to get the tree up tonight after Jack goes to bed. Craig is finishing projects so that we can list our house this week!!! I will put pictures on when it's listed. This will be a major accomplishment for us. I haven't been putting many pictures on lately because, 1)Our computer is so slow and 2)I honestly forget about it with everything else going on right now. I will try to post some pictures sometime this weekend.

Monday

Jack is well. Craig and I, not so much. Craig has a bit of the flu bug. I also chilled in bed last night until about 3 am. I just have a sore throat, which is manageable. I'm using lots of Lysol in the hopes of keeping Jack well since he just started feeling better. Craig and I rarely get sick. I guess it was time. We made a lot of progress on the house this weekend, although you might not think so if you stopped by. It looks like a tornado hit our house. I don't have much energy at the moment, so it might be like this for a while. I truly am thankful for a house, clean water, my relatively, healthy family, food to eat, clothes to wear and the list could go on and on. Just so much for which to give thanks this year!

Lately

There is a lot going on, but probably not anything, anyone else would find to be too exciting. Jack had the flu yesterday. I thought he was better this morning and now he feels warm and is laying on the couch. I hate it when he is sick. Craig just called from work and said he isn't feeling great either. Wonderful. We have been working like crazy to get our house ready to put on the market. We were hoping to get everything finished up this weekend. That won't happen if Craig isn't feeling well. I have been looking at houses with the realtor and we have found one we really like. We were going to wait until spring, but a couple houses on either side of us are for sale or will soon be for sale. We are predicting several rentals close by. That along with several other things in the neighborhood prompted us to go for it. We'll see what happens. This was definitely not the time of year I would have picked to move. That's how it goes, I guess. Now I'm trying to decide if I should go to all the work to put up the tree and all decorations now. I know it will help the house feel homey, it's just a lot of work and will be that much more to pack if we would move in December. That's what we're up to right now. :)

Just Plain Busy!

This week has been crazy. There really is too much going on right now. I've reached a point tonight where things look dismal. Maybe 7 hours will change things.

Oops!

I forgot about the eyeliner pencil I had left in the diaper bag after Halloween. We had used it for Jack's whiskers. He found it. :) When I saw his face, I asked him if he was trying to look like a lion. He said. "Yeah." I'm not sure what the green highlighter on his face was for. Thank goodness for eye make-up remover.

His Size

I let Jack look at my piccolo during a lesson the other day. He was trying to blow into it and play while I played with a student. I'm not sure Craig will approve of Jack playing the flute.

Whenever Possible...

Jack wants to look like Daddy. :)

Run Around Day

Today is one of those days when I know I am accomplishing something, but it feels like a lot of running around or running in circles. I ran a few errands this morning, had lunch with grandma, and have been filing, making phone calls, scheduling and rescheduling appts., answering emails, etc., etc., and you get the idea. Just chipping away on those things that have to be done sometimes.

Fall Fun

Sunday afternoon, we spent a lot of time outside. Craig raked up piles of leaves and Jack would jump in them, roll around, throw them, and swim in them. He loved it!

The Computer

Jack loves sesamestreet.org. There are a few games here geared toward toddlers. He loves the keyboard and moving the mouse. He is also very helpful when Craig and I are trying to work on the computer. :)

Frustrated

Once again, even though I was trying to be careful, I got rust on a couple of Jack's shirts while doing laundry. It's from the hydrants being flushed by the city. How do you know when it's finally ok to do laundry again? How do you get rust out of clothes? Does anybody have any suggestions? Help!

Pumpkins

Today, Jack and I, went to the pumpkin farm. The weather was perfect. It was such a fun, beautiful day, with my fun, beautiful boy!

I Will Do Better

Craig pointed out today that I have let my blogging slide this week. The reason: I have been spending too much time on Facebook, catching up with college and high school friends. I will get back to my regular blogging routine this week. :)

Sharing....

pictures and babysitting. I borrowed more pictures from my friend Amy. We are taking turns watching Harrison and Jack the first couple Friday nights of each month so that each couple can go on a date! Craig and I can count on one hand the number of times just the two of us have gone out since Jack was born. This last Friday was our turn. We had Mexican for supper and then as all loyal redneck wives do, I accompanied my sweetheart to Farm and Fleet to buy new underwear. :)

Not Much

Nothing out of the ordinary has happened here in the last week which is a good thing. I need to take some pictures! :) I will get on that tomorrow. It's time for sleep now.
