Jack's First 4th

What a fun day! First we stopped by Grandma's house (Craig's mom) for a visit. We then went to the lodge for lunch. Craig's sister and her little boy, Maclane, were there. He is just two weeks younger than Jack. We then joined our friends, Mike, Jacque, Kimmy and Josie for a little rest before the parade. We then saved our spots on the nursing home lawn for the parade and went inside to see Craig's grandma and ran into his aunt and uncle while there. Up to this point, Jack had only had a 20 minute nap. He was doing very well. Consequently, he only saw about the first 10 minutes of the parade and fell asleep. After the parade, we cooled off at Mike and Jacque's and then walked to the park for the petting zoo, bluegrass music (right up Craig's alley,) the carnival and a lot of fried food. We then headed home so that Jack could go to bed. He was pooped! Craig and I did catch some of the fireworks on the river, watching from our front yard.
