3 Months (For A Few More Days)
I have been trying to get Jack to the photographer to get his picture taken for about a month now. Something always happened. I had the flu one day, when we had planned to go. For a few days, it was just way to cold to take him outside. The weather would be bad, or there was something I had to do at home. We finally made it yesterday. I had planned to get his picture taken at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year. He will be four months on Saturday, so we barely made it! I packed his outfit for pictures and waited to put it on him until we got to the mall (he's been having some blow-out diapers.) I got him dressed and headed to Penny's first. They were all booked! It had been a stressful morning, and I already felt bad for lugging Jack to the mall as he was having kind of a rough day. When she told me that they couldn't take any walk-ins(I didn't realize you had to schedule), I thought I might cry. I decided we were going to get his picture taken somehow. We ended up at another studio. It took a long time to get Jack to smile. He was so serious and very tired. He did smile a few times. It was a tough choice. All his pictures were so sweet. This is the one we picked!
Our New Kitchen Floor
Our new floor was laid yesterday. I wasn't sure about it at first, but it has grown on me and I really like it. Anything is better than what was there before with the cigarette burns in it. When we ran the air conditioner in the summer, the middle of the floor would bubble up with the air underneath it. This is so much better. I may never want to leave the kitchen!

We're Getting a New Floor

Jack's Room
It is finally done! (for the most part) This project started back in June. This room had been our storage room and was wall to wall and floor to ceiling boxes. I told Craig that I wanted it completely done, organized and ready for a baby when we left for the hospital. This project resulted in many arguments as it took much longer than what I had wanted. This last weekend, I finished hanging shelves and decor on the walls. There is still some trim work and some adjustments to be made on the closet doors, but it is finally Jack's room!
Great Ideas
Craig and I keep coming up with what we think are great ideas to use with Jack. Most of the time the ideas end up not being so great. Craig thought he would try the baby carrier to see if it would keep Jack content and we might still be able to get some things done. As you can see, Jack looks less than enthused and Craig decided it really wasn't all that comfortable. Back to the drawing board!

Lazy
I have pictures to post but am having trouble with my camera. I will have to have Craig look at it when he gets home. Jack and I have been snuggled inside since we got home from church yesterday. I enjoy watching it snow while drinking hot chocolate which is what we have been doing today. I am actually going to work on laundry while Jack is taking a nap since I can't blog pictures. We did accomplish a lot this weekend. I finished Jack's room and I love it! Craig worked on tearing out the kitchen floor. We are getting new flooring sometime this week, if all goes well. The kitchen will look so much better. Now, on to my laundry.

Better Day
I think today is shaping up to be a much better day than yesterday. I had another bug. I got sick in the night on Monday night, really sick. Craig couldn't stay home with us, so my grandma came to help with Jack. I was feeling much better by about 1:00 in the afternoon. Needless to say I didn't get anything done and was very tired last night. Jack did so well last night. He slept from 8:30 until 3:30, ate, and then slept until 8:15 this morning. I feel so much better. The downstairs is in pretty good shape with all of the Christmas stuff put away. Today, we will try to continue organizing and cleaning. Jack and I are going to tackle the upstairs. We'll see how it goes.

Rash Decision
What have I done? I thought I had thought about it a lot. Now I'm not so sure. It started a few weeks ago when Craig's sister told us that a couple of her hairs got wrapped around their baby's toes. The hair cut into his skin and got infected. A couple weeks ago I started losing A LOT of hair which I guess can be common after having a baby. I was pulling out a lot of it when I would wash my hair or brush it. I was finding hair all over the house and was sick of it. I was always finding it in Jack's hands, on the changing table, in his diaper, in the refrigerator, just everywhere. I told Jessica just to cut it all off! It is the shortest it has ever been and now, a couple days later, I am sad. It was getting pretty long. Craig actually likes it which really surprises me. It will grow back, but I'm still a little sad.

New Year
I guess I do have some resolutions. One of them is to try to post daily instead of waiting until I have 80 pictures and am way behind. As you can see from my recent posting, I had some catching up to do. I also want to continue to work at getting in better shape, be a more patient and loving wife, read more, become more organized, finish Jack's room, eat healthier, come up with a daily routine for Jack, and invest more in people. We'll see how it goes.
